Not sure if this is Upward Forward Fold or a Boat Variation, but it definitely requires flexibility, balance, and stability. This pose strengthens leg muscles, lengthens hamstrings, and improves spine flexibility.
I’ll be honest and tell you that I have hamstrings like rubber bands, but this pose is still challenging for me. And who doesn’t want another challenge?
BTW: If you want to improve your flexibility, practice more yoga!
Here’s how I did this pose:
- Grab heels
- Fid balance on sitz bones
- Slowly extend legs
- Keep spine long
