I found out about this recipe from a friend at the gym, and was doubtful about its deliciousness. I mean, it only has a few ingredients — how in the world could it taste so good? The first time I made it, my husband actually said, “Oh my gosh, you can make this every week.” Then when I made it while my son was visiting, he had the same reaction — and a second helping!
Remember, you don’t need to stir this. You might check on it occasionally during the 30 minutes it’s cooking to make sure it’s simmering, but other than that it’s low maintenance. Check out my video on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube.
Quick & Easy Chicken in a Skillet!
2 lbs chicken (I use breasts, but this also works with thighs)
1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
One cup of water
Flour
Salt and pepper
Season chicken with salt & pepper, then coat with flour. Fry in skillet over medium high heat until browned on both sides. Remove from skillet and pour off excess grease. Return chicken to skillet, this time over low heat, and add soup mix and water. No need to stir. Add lid and simmer for 30 minutes. Let sit for several minutes for sauce to thicken.
(Thanks to my friend Gary W. for sharing this recipe!☺️)
